About Us We are custom pergola builders. A pergola is a garden structure forming a shaded outdoor room or passage way of pillars which support cross-beams and a sturdy open lattice. We craft them of hand selected premium Southern Yellow Pine (pressure treated) and Florida Cypress. By specializing in pergolas and garden hardscapes we are able to continuously fine-tune the skills of our craft. We stay focused on what we do best. As a result, we are experts in our field.
We Are Craftsmen We are professional wood craftsmen teamed up with woodworkers from around North America to form Gardenstructure.com, a network headed by master woodworker Lawrence Winterburn of Ontario, Canada. Gardencarpentry.com Tampa is headed by two craftsmen, Lance Hans & Pauhl Gazlay. “We feel that no matter how long we do this, there Should always be the attitude that there is room to Learn something new every day.”		Our Business We began as an interior detail carpentry business in Tampa, Florida. We soon realized that, unlike woodworkers in many Northern states, we could work outside all year. To take advantage of this we moved outdoors and built our first pergola in 2005.   Our experience, with finish/detail carpentry is what sets us apart as pergola builders. While there is an element of rough frame carpentry involved, truly beautiful pergolas, arbors, decks and fences require the expertise of finish carpenters.  Today our unique set of skills makes us the premier wooden hardscape builders in Florida.
