To get an idea of what base price range your proposed pergola falls into simply do the following.
1. Go outside and place four stakes or markers where you want the four outside corners of your pergola to be.
2. Measure the length (in feet) of the longest side and the length of the second longest side.
3. Multiply the numbers together to obtain the square footage. (Length x Width = Area) Example 10 feet x 13.5 feet = 135 square feet.
4. Multiply your square footage by $15.00 and by $40.00. This will give you your price range.
Example 135 sq ft x $15.00 = $2,250.00, or 135 sq ft x $40.00 = $5,400.00
Using the example above, a 10’ x 13.5’ pergola would cost between $2,250.00 and $5,400.00, depending on wood type and ornamentation.
